AFI DWW+ Directing Program — Class of 2028

American Film Institute

AFI's tuition-free, year-long DWW+ workshop will select up to eight emerging narrative filmmakers for the Class of 2028, combining virtual and Los Angeles-based training through development, production, post-production, and a final showcase. Applicants apply with a short narrative film project; a separate SEMI Foundation opportunity can award $10,000–$20,000 to a qualifying DWW+ film.
